Happy Sweet 16 Abigail!

Our beautiful, sweet, strong, amazing daughter has turned 16. Wow, you know what that means? 2 more short years till she is grown and gone. I can't think about it, it makes me sick to my stomach. I am not ready for her to be grown yet!! What a blessing she is and we had so much fun celebrating her and her big 16th birthday.

So it's been a year since I blogged and funny that my last post just happens to be Abby's birhtday last year. What a year, a year I hope to forget thus the reasoning for forgetting to blog and document it.

But being lazy and bored tonight (waiting for Steve to finish traveling home from Boise sniff, sniff) I decided to scroll through all my posts through the years. I did not expect to get so emotional. Looking back through pictures of the kids, good friends, holidays, trips and the great times in Boise reminded me just how fast time goes, how fast kids grow and change, and how fast things can change. I am so glad I have these posts to help me smile and remember what truly is important in life especially at a time like now when our family is struggling with a few more challenges then I would like. I quess the Lord decided I was a little rough around the edges and that it was time to put me through the refiner's fire. But I am afraid that I am not going to come out of all this as refined as he would like me to be but never the less, I am going to come out of these challenges alive!!
